Plano Urbanístico de Chicuma 10

In Chicuma the axial relationships in a strategic part of the Commune Capital are given priority and emphasized. The design of the road network was based on these axes. We chose to site the Plan to the Northeast of the Capital, where the Health Centre, the Nurses residences, the School, the Municipal Administration, and the Community Jango already stand, and where the pre-existing layout suggests a point of intersection and gathering. Several factors stimulated and conditioned the proposal: the curvature of the main road, the alignment parallel to the water line to the East, the natural slope of the terrain (descending from south to north), and a concern not to demolish existing buildings and trees.
