Armazém de Frio no Porto de Luanda

The proposed structure fits into the master plan elaborated for the Port of Luanda. This building is designednas a cold storage facility. The project consists of eight warehouses, four loading docks and four unloading docks.

The warehouse is a building characterized by simplicity. Its material characteristics are defined by an exterior cladding of white horizontal metal siding above an exposed concrete base. A projecting metal panel creates a distinctive identity for this store and this port.

The panel is constructed of folded 2x2 m metal sheets, arranged uniformly but with occasional exceptions to give rhythm and movement to the façade.
