Barcaça Central de Produção e Fornecimento de Energia Eléctrica no Porto Pesqueiro de Luanda

The Main Floating Barge is part of the government project “Urgent Generation Luanda", which aims to mitigate in a short period of time, the energy problems encountered in the metropolitan area of Luanda.
The Project comprises three floating barges, in which two produce energy and one (tank barge) stores the fuel.
The Project intends to expand the production capacity by injecting to the existing electric domestic network around 138 MW, with a view to attenuate the deficit in the electricity supply to the capital.
