Hospital de Doenças Infecto-Contagiosas de Saurimo

This is a project for a hospital for the treatment of infectious diseases, which will be located to the south of Saurimo. It has a capacity for 120 beds in 12 wards.

The main building of the hospital provides the urban front and creates a separation between the public and the private areas. The hospital consists of individual buildings, each with its own function, arranged along a covered walkway.

Covered outdoor circulation was chosen, a solution that is appropriate for the climate for which the proposal was designed and which reduces energy expenditure as well as preventing air borne contamination.
