Plano Director Municipal do Uíge

The Municipal Master Plan (PDM), as an instrument of management and operational control, has proved to be crucial for a coherent, sustainable and equitable growth of the population and the region in general. The elaboration of the PDM of Uíge began with the survey of information from various sources and levels, in order to reach a better understanding of local realities through which the principal problems, needs and potentials of the Municipality could be diagnosed.

The understanding of the suitability of Uíge as an administrative and territorial centre for the northern Angolan region may prove to be a key strategy for the future of this territory.
