VREBL

The Outer Regional Variant of Benguela and Lobito (VREBL) has a length of 158 km, running in a north-south direction, with connections to the east and west to reach Benguela,

Catumbela and Lobito. At roughly the 33 km mark, a new access road will be created, linking to the centre of Benguela and extending about 11 km.

At the 48 km mark, a new access road will be created, linking to the stadium and airport of Catumbela and running about 19 km. Two other roads will be created to the north, to access Catumbela (south) and Lobito, easing the circulation of traffic to and from the important port of Lobito. This variant will we have five main intersections and five secondary intersections.
