VREME

The Outer Regional Variant to Menongue (VREME) has a total length of 23 km and runs to the north to avoid the Cambumbe river basin which lies on the south side.
The variant starts on the road that connects Menongue to Ondjiva, close to the Cuebe river.
Four major intersections and three local intersections will be created to connect to the existing roads.

The variant ends where it crosses the road linking Menongue to Cuito, with the creation of a major intersection. The main road to the south is of utmost importance because it allows links to Namibia through the borders at Santa Clara and Catuitui.
